Sculling in CRAZY conditions on the sea
Last weekend I sculled 19km from Beaumaris to Caernarfon down the treacherous Menai Straits in the new Liteboat SPORT, not even in the Liteboat RACE, which is 25% faster. It was an EPIC race, all the more poignant because this is where I learned to row in the first place, 45 years ago!
Keeping my feet dry
Recently we’ve had incredible amounts of rainfall and so the River Dee has been a raging torrent compared to normal and it has been virtually impossible to get out and go sculling safely. However, last weekend there were massive spring tides. 10.40m at Liverpool! So this presented an opportunity. Check out the video http://youtu.be/PBkfjmG6yxg.
